The company

A software company built around one hard problem.

DAMGEO LTD designs and develops software that helps people be understood. Our work began in 2018 on a government backed SBRI research challenge about autistic employment, and how i work evolved out of it.

Our approach

We do not ship a portfolio of half finished products. We build one thing properly and keep improving it.

DAMGEO is a small, deliberate team. Our work combines academic and psychological research with modern generative AI to create tools that adapt to a person, rather than asking the person to adapt to the tool.

That principle came out of necessity. The people we build for are frequently asked to translate themselves into systems that were never designed with them in mind: forms that assume a standard communication style, careers advice that assumes a standard set of motivations, workplaces that assume a standard sensory tolerance.

Everything we make is shaped with and for the people who use it. Accessible by design, visual by default, and built to break complex ideas into manageable steps.

What we do

Capability

how i work is the output. These are the disciplines that produce it.

01

Research modelling

Translating academic and psychological research into a working, queryable data model that software can act on.

02

Applied AI

Generative AI that adapts questions, examples and advice to the individual, rather than serving everyone the same script.

03

Inclusive design

Interfaces shaped with autistic users and tested against WCAG 2.1 AA, including assistive technology testing with real users.

04

Platform engineering

Secure, UK hosted cloud software with the service definitions, SLAs and support levels public sector buyers expect.

05

Data and dashboards

Turning individual insight into practical, permissioned guidance for the adults supporting each learner.

06

Co-design

Building with learners, families, educators and employers throughout, not presenting them with a finished thing.

Our story

From research project to live platform

In 2018 we took on a hard problem set by government: how do you support young people with autism into meaningful, paid employment? how i work is what that question turned into over the years that followed.

See what we built

From 2018

SBRI challenge

Our work started on a Small Business Research Initiative project tackling employment outcomes for young autistic people.

Prototype

KLEOS Software: Careers

The SBRI work led to a strengths‑based prototype that laid the foundation for personalised, inclusive guidance, and the name our G-Cloud listing still carries.

Rebuilt

Reimagined for generative AI

Rapid advances in AI opened up new ways to tailor learning, communication and self‑advocacy. We redeveloped the platform from the ground up and relaunched it as how i work.

2025 to 2029

Procured by the Department for the Economy

how i work was procured through the G-Cloud 14 framework in 2025, under an agreement running until 2029.

Principles

What we will not compromise on

01

Personalised, not generic

Every activity adapts to the individual, from the questions asked to the examples used.

02

Research backed, practice first

Built on academic and psychological research, but the output is advice people can act on today.

03

Accessible by design

Shaped with autistic users. Visual, structured, and broken into manageable steps.

04

The learner owns the data

Support cards and dashboards are only ever shared when the learner chooses to share them.

05

Confidence before careers

We do not push anyone into a job. We build the self‑knowledge that makes good decisions possible.

06

Real life support

Sensory needs, communication and motivation matter long before job titles do.
